L’Hermitage Gardens is the first continuing care community in the Channel Islands.

The development comprises a variety of residential accommodation ranging from terraced cottages designed for independent living, to sheltered apartments for those requiring higher level of assisted living. All units are designed to Lifetime Homes standards to enable accessibility and adaptation and future phases include a 40 bed nursing home and a residential care unit. 

In addition, various shared facilities are provided, including a village hall, winter garden and resident’s lounge, all arranged around a series of themed landscape gardens. The architecture is contemporary yet restrained, responding to the surrounding suburban context, with extensive balconies and external terraces taking advantage of the landscape setting and coastal views to the south.
