Axis Mason Interiors have completed a major refurbishment of Standard Bank House in Jersey. In recent years the bank has grown rapidly and available space was becoming an issue. An initial analysis of the building indicated that spatial efficiency could be increased by 20% by adopting new working practices and a centralised storage strategy - both of which have been successfully implemented. In addition, the project also involved upgrades to the Reception & Client Suite areas and the creation of the 'Baobab Cafe' which serves as an exciting multifunctional seminar, meeting and staff breakout space. The project was completed in the summer of 2010 and all work was carried out when the building was fully occupied by using a dedicated temporary decant area and a comprehensive and well-planned move management strategy.
