The new building for Jersey Tourism occupies the North-West corner of the Liberty Wharf development and commands views from the west along the Esplanade and the approach from the waterfront and harbour. The building is built up from behind the historic stone wall of the old abattoir and rises to a height of five stories. It is predominately glazed, in contrast to the existing structure. The building is specifically tailored to the requirements of the tourism department, with a new visitor information centre located at ground and first floors, and office accommodation and meeting rooms for tourism staff on the upper floors.
