Hadsley House is a listed 4-storey office building located in central St. Peter Port. Although it displays character and charm from the outside, inside it had unfortunately suffered from an unsympathetic refurbishment in the mid-1980s. Our client, Polygon Group, commissioned us to convert the office into a suite of serviced offices to compliment the other properties they already run in Guernsey. This included preparing a detailed planning application and heritage impact assessment which were required due to the building’s listing.
Our project brief was to rejuvenate the current building, giving it a new lease of life with a trademark Polygon ‘quirky’ design style. A new central open feature stair was installed to allow light to flow between the floors. The stair lobby was also opened up to provide a new communal breakout area with new shared meeting rooms located on the ground floor. Overall, our interior design team gave the space a new life.
