NEW PEOPLE: LONDON STUDIO

We would like to give a warm welcome to our new team members that have joined the Axis Mason Team in our London Studio throughout 2021. Axis Mason is fortunate to have been able to expand our team even during a pandemic that has affected so many. Although based in our London Studio, the team collaborate on a global level.

In order of appearance:

Shona Cairns joined us in December as a Senior Interior Designer, she has previously worked on many high-profile interior fit out projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe in the professional services, banking, legal, technology, energy, and media sectors. Shona was also recognised a both ‘Mover and Shaker’ in the industry in 2020, as well as being one of the ‘30 under 30’ designers in 2017. One thing that might surprise you about Shona is that she has never seen a James Bond film!

Luke Anderson joined us in October as Architectural Assistant. Luke has recently graduated from Oxford Brookes and has embarked on his journey within architecture. If Luke could be in any place in any time, it would be in New York in the late 70s.

Ben Chapman joined us in September as a Landscape Architect Assistant. Despite having a degree in architecture, he turned to landscape design upon graduating and has ‘never looked back’. When he’s not working, Ben loves getting lost exploring a new city or countryside. You might be surprised to hear that his greatest fear is cows.

Jo Kalkwarf joined us in September as Business Development and Marketing Coordinator. Her professional background is in architecture, account management and now business development. She is passionate about people, architecture, interiors, property and the built environment. Jo cannot resist good quality dark chocolate and is excellent at handstands!

Yana Kasa joined us in March as a Communications Coordinator, she has previously worked in retail hospitality, production and marketing. She enjoys the creative aspect of her role and the opportunity to work with everyone in all five studios. If Yana could be in any place at any time, it would be in Brooklyn in the 50s as an Italian gangster, mainly for the accent and the Robert De Niro impression.
