AXIS MASON DAY OUT 2021
Although we are made up of five studios across the world, we work as one team. Over the past year and a half, like everyone we have not been able to see each other or connect as much as we would have liked to. For us, this meant that our Axis Mason Day Out was more necessary than ever!
Axis Mason Day Out, or AMDO for short, is an annual get together of five studios, usually hosted by one of them. It’s a great opportunity for the whole team to catch-up, meet in person and have fun!
Due to the social contact restriction last year, our Durban studio hosted our Day Out virtually. We played games, ate traditional Durban cuisine, and shared ideas of how to entertain ourselves in isolation. Although social distancing rules have eased up significantly since then, we decided it’s best for everyone’s wellbeing to keep the AMDO activities in their respected cities.
The Axis Mason Wellbeing Team, who are represented by each studio, took it upon themselves to host AMDO 2021. With the help of the wonderful team at ClueGo, each studio went out and about on a treasure hunt in each of the five cities. We ran around with our phones completing challenges, answering bespoke trivia questions, and re-enacting movie scenes.
Even though we were physically apart, we were connected virtually via a chat and a zoom call at the end to share scores and funny videos we took along the way.
It was great fun to be outside and to see everyone’s competitive side come out, catching up and having a boogie at the end of the night.
The London studio are up next to host, we will see what’s in store…
