The planning for Kensington Place residential scheme is in full swing!
The scheme comprises a series of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments across six floors, as well as extensive public realm improvements. Situated just a short walk from the town centre of St Helier, the financial district, and an abundance of public parks and local services, Kensington Place is an ideal location for young professionals.
Imposing onto the streetscape, the original structure lacked visual quality or design; the new proposal carefully considers the context, ensures appropriate architectural form, and reflects the local seaside vernacular.
A recessed top floor reduces the overall scale and a set-back of the building enables the widening of the current, narrow pavements.
