MEET OUR GDANSK TEAM
Axis Mason’s Gdansk studio consists of architects of various experiences, currently working on some local and international projects.
Due to lockdown restrictions, the team have been taking turns to work in the studio and from home. Finally, they are all back together and are looking forward to returning to their usual work culture.
Being located in the city centre, our Gdansk team are spoilt with choices for food and drink, majority of them being about a 15 minute walk away. Their favourite place being a gelato spot called Paulo, who come up with some creative flavours of ice cream.
The studio itself consists of an open space, filled with desks and tech for everyone. The team’s favourite part of the studio is the skylight, it’s great to let in the sunshine but also cosy on rainy days. The studio balcony, providing a private outdoor area is a close second favourite.
Our Gdansk team socialise in the communal part of the workspace, the kitchen area is where they enjoy some refreshments and cakes. What started as a way to mark special occasions, became a weekly occurrence to catch up and unwind. The guys take turns to either bake or purchase a cake or some cookies for lunch and after work. The team like to put a personalised twist to these get-togethers. In fact, a few weeks ago everyone got a personalised horoscope from a studio zodiac enthusiast.
To take a short break and get away from their desks, the guys like to play darts when things aren’t as busy. In general, they are a very active bunch! From kayaking come snow or sunshine, to participating in half marathons in Gdansk. Most recently, the guys have even created a Gdansk Bicycle Team. So far, members have been cycling solo and then sharing their routes and distance length. But they hope that in no time they will be able to get together and cycle as a group.
