The Calodyne development is elevated above the west coast of the island in Grand Gaube and will provide a series of high-quality apartments, set within a luxurious tropical landscape with panoramic views towards the Indian Ocean.
The development is conceived as a simple, linear form with a series of apartment blocks, linked by two-storey townhouse pavilions. The inverted roofscape design creates a distinctive skyline silhouette and the form of the linked pavilions set within the landscape produces a facade that is punctuated by terraces and decks, to establish a sense of rhythm and proportion and a particular visual identity for the development within its wider coastal setting.
The design also creates a series of clearly defined public and private outdoor spaces within a wider shared landscape. A club house located along the south-west boundary of the site contains the edge of this shared space whilst providing a gateway for residents to the extensive landscaped gardens.
