The project consisted of the revitalisation The Grand through concept design. This presented an opportunity to redefine The Grand as an important visual landmark for St. Helier, re-instating it as one of the most important buildings in Jersey.
Presenting a balance between respecting the character of the existing building and its’ context in the wider setting of St Aubin’s Bay, the proposal included re-modelling the existing gable and improving the ground level entrance and public realm.
A simple glazed extension set behind the existing parapet provides 40 new luxury rooms and suites.
