Les Brisants is a five bedroom family home replacing an outdated house which was demolished. It has a stepped section rooted in the landscape of the hillside with extensive views over Petit Port Bay.
The traditional granite entrance wall relates to the material and character of the bay. The stair tower and chimney are a contemporary expression of massing derived from rocky outcrops in the landscape.
The main living spaces take advantage of the views to the North, the bedroom and service spaces form ‘protective wings’ preserving and enhancing the amenity of neighbouring properties and enclose private terraces to the South.
