Our global team have now crossed the finishing line on our virtual walk from London to New Delhi, which we started in June.
Using the World Walking app, teams from all five of our studios have been logging their steps. The platform has been adding those up and we have now walked from London, England all the way to New Delhi, India!
The idea came from our Wellbeing team, to encourage everyone to be active and get out of the house. Walking is known to be a great tool in improving mental and physical health. The lockdowns have certainly changed our walking habits and working from home has made some people less active, so our Wellbeing team wanted to introduce a fun activity that could include all five of our studios.
In just 3 months, around 31 team members have walked 14,251,900 steps! The app has been tracking our route, through Europe, down to the Middle East and finally to India where our walk ended. We have been able to see the street view through World Walking, which felt almost like travelling. The team have also been using the chat within the app to catch up, share photos of walks, holidays, and pets (lots of dogs!), as well as having some friendly competition with the step count leaderboard!
It has certainly been a fun activity to have all five studios involved in, enjoy the photos below.
