The brief was to create a flexible office development to meet the strong demand for grade A office space within St Helier in Jersey. The scheme has a clean and understated design to the upper floor office space whilst respecting and retaining the existing Grade 3 listed warehouse building on the Esplanade.

The new office building offers 70,000 sq ft. of flexible office accommodation over 7 floors. The façade on 27 Esplanade was skilfully re-built to its original state with a new modern support structure creating space for a spacious double height entrance for its main tenant, Jersey Trust Company (JTC). Through analysis of historical records the elevation to 28 Esplanade was restored to its original configuration and proportions.

This former 19th century warehouse was once described as one of the finest surviving examples from the Victorian era and is characteristic of the Esplanade’s commercial history and the hey-day of potato exports.
