Castle Quay is vibrant new urban quarter located on the waterfront at St Helier, comprising a mix of retail, hospitality, workplace and residential uses, and has been the catalyst for the wider REGENERATION of this developing waterfront district.

The development is arranged in 2 courtyard blocks, extending over 5 and 6 storeys, with some 75,000 sq.ft. of commercial space at ground level and 340 apartments above, together with a double-storey basement accommodating 430 parking spaces and various plant and ancillary areas.

The form and materiality of the project reflect the emerging contemporary character of its seafront location. Continuous balconies set behind a glazed outer façade to the south and west take advantage of the expansive waterfront views across St Aubins Bay, whilst stone clad bays with punched windows and cantilevered balconies refer back to the granite of St Helier town centre to the north and the historic harbours and Fort Regent to the east.

The HOLISTIC design of Castle Quay extends to the surrounding public realm with new pedestrian routes through and between the buildings linking the waterfront promenade at the western edge of the scheme to the Waterfront Gardens at the east, and includes the Chart Room, a major new covered gathering space located at the heart of the scheme and enriched through a series of public art interventions that celebrate the 12 parishes of Jersey.
