The Beach Club is a new Mediterranean-style restaurant with stunning panoramic views over St Brelade’s Bay. The client’s key focus was to create a restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and an offering that didn’t have to compete with the more formal venues further along the Bay.
Having worked with the client on several projects over the last 10 years or so, the design process was COLLABORATIVE and informal, working together to understand how best to use the deep-plan space to comfortably accommodate 100 diners indoors, whilst taking advantage of the spectacular coastal setting with an additional 50 al-fresco spaces.
The internal layout, featuring a continuous curving bar, open kitchen and a variety of table and seating configurations, prioritises the surroundings and the amazing views over the terrace to the Bay. Colours, textures and materials are a fresh take on the classic beach theme with warm wood finishes, soft paint and fabric tones and quirky design features that combine to create an informal, homely ambience.
The relaxed atmosphere and spectacular ocean views combine to realise the client’s ambition for a memorable and engaging dining experience where patrons can feel equally at home dressing up for dinner or walking straight off the beach.
