Castle Quay is a large-scale, mixed-use development located at the heart of St. Helier waterfront in Jersey. This new urban quarter comprises of retail, hospitality, leisure, office and residential accommodation.
Phase 1 of the development consists of 341 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and approximately 75,000 sq. ft. of commercial space. The dwellings are divided into two blocks, over five and six floors respectively together with basement parking for 439 cars.
Two main buildings face the marina and extend around large courtyard gardens. The development also features a glazed internal courtyard, The Chart Room, which acts as a key gathering space for the developing waterfront. Materials for both the buildings and the public realm have been influenced by climatic conditions and inspired by local maritime vernacular.
Soft landscaping has been carefully designed in conference with plant species that have high tolerance to salt, wind and full-sun exposure and an equal ability to actively contribute to a more comfortable microclimate.
