Beaumont House is a stunning new contemporary guest house located in a prominent wooded hillside setting with extensive views across St Aubins Bay.

A key aim of the design was to enable the repair of the existing landscape character of the area through the removal of a dis-used tennis court, intrusive lighting columns and an existing, ill-conceived pool house. These were replaced with a carefully considered, SUSTAINABLE but modest dwelling set within the natural woodland backdrop.

The 340sqm guest house consists of an open plan living/dining/kitchen space, two large bedrooms and service and storage spaces at ground floor. The plan is configured to allow a clear split between public and private space, with this main ground floor accommodation organised around a central entrance point with a feature sculptural staircase to an additional upper floor lounge and study area.

The linear plan arrangement with the living space situated on the southern edge is designed to take advantage of the open aspect, and a wrapping terrace area blurs the distinction between inside and out, bringing the surrounding natural landscape and expansive views into the heart of the home.
