Cyril le Marquand Court is a major residential-led REGENERATION project on the edge of St Helier town centre providing 165 new homes for affordable rental, together with a number of ground floor commercial units, set within a re-imagined public realm that includes a new public square, newly pedestrianised streets, pavement widening and street greening.
The development also includes a 2-level car park for residents’ and public use which has been carefully embedded in the centre of the development under a raised private courtyard garden and set behind street-facing apartments and commercial units, enabling the architectural form and detail to be articulated to respond to each of its edges and to engage positively with the surrounding streetscape to create a distinct sense of place.
This HOLISTIC DESIGN approach has revitalized the northern area of the Town Centre, providing safe, SUSTAINABLE, accessible urban living within an area in urgent need of investment. The project also links a number of adjacent redevelopment sites which together, will provide over 700 new affordable homes in the heart of the Island’s capital.
