The ADAPTIVE RE-USE of Mill Place has transformed a four-storey former industrial office building in St Peter Port, Guernsey into a bold and contemporary new workplace, comprehensively reimagining both the interior and exterior to create a more engaging and characterful working environment.
The design approach balances a modern, playful sensibility with the industrial heritage of the site, defined by its expressive materiality and thoughtful detailing. Throughout the building, a refined palette of natural wood, textured finishes and robust materials establishes warmth and tactility, while colour accents bring a sense of energy to shared spaces.
The restored façade and upgraded window treatments elevate the building’s presence within the streetscape, reinforcing its connection to the surrounding context. The result is a workplace that feels grounded and forward-looking, celebrating its industrial origins while creating a fresh, inspiring and modern office environment.
