The vision for a new workplace for Prosperity 24/7 was to establish a centre of innovation excellence that would be more agile, efficient and better suited to their business needs as they emerged from the pandemic.
The project involved RETROFITTING a former restaurant overlooking the marina at St Helier waterfront to create a hybrid workplace that provides a range of spaces to meet, work and collaborate. Changes included adding a mezzanine floor level and 3 ‘suspended’ meeting room pods that breach the curtain wall separating the internal space from the marina-facing wintergarden, increasing the useable floor area whilst animating the adjacent public promenade.
A key ambition for the client was to create a place that would be open and welcoming to the public as well as the team at Prosperity 24/7 and the ground floor area is therefore designed as a work-café environment to encourage casual visitors and create opportunities for agile working that will foster innovation and change.
