The Mulcaster & 1823 Grill is one of our latest projects for client Randalls, continuing more than a decade of design collaboration that has delivered some of the most popular bars and restaurants in Jersey.
The ground floor area houses The Mulcaster, a classic bar with a rich, traditional aesthetic. An artisan, cast metal bar counter with intricate wood panelling serves as the room’s focal point, complemented by sleek stone tabletops and richly textured upholstery. A reflective, patterned ceiling adds depth and amplifies the warm lighting in the room. The blend of traditional charm and contemporary finishes sets the stage for a stylish new gathering spot in the busy Weighbridge area of Town.
Upstairs, the 1823 Grill offers a generous, refined dining experience that combines contemporary design with natural materials and finishes. Oversized pendant lighting, wave-like acoustic ceiling details, deep green seating banquettes and bespoke circular booths in warm tones, provide a comfortable, intimate setting for guests. Botanical wallpaper and herringbone flooring introduce organic textures, while soft, earthy finishes maintain a refined, grounded feel. The careful layering of these elements creates a harmonious blend of elegance and comfort, making 1823 Grill the perfect setting for memorable dining experiences.
