Why do we need this policy?

The data of every UK and Eu citizen is protected by the General Data Protection Regulations 2016 (GDPR) and Axis Mason complies with all relevant laws.

Axis Mason also aims to practice moral leadership; we look for the spirit of both moral and written law and aim to apply this spirit throughout our business.

What does it mean to you?

You can choose whether or not we hold your data. If you do give your consent, for example if you become a client, supplier or member of staff, then this document tells you what we do with your data and how you have control over it. If you do not give your consent then we may choose not to enter into a contract with you.

Note that if we do start to hold your data, we may be obliged to use or retain your data, for example if requested by law or to support a legal claim; you will not have rights over this.

As an individual you have rights regarding your data, they are:

What data do we collect?

Standard Data: This includes business names, personal names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, bank details etc.

Sensitive Data: This includes race, religion, political interests, sexual interests, physical and mental health. Axis Mason do not collect or record this information.

Data for Recruitment Purposes: By applying for a job, answering screening questions, providing your contact details, providing your CV / portfolio to show an interest in a job, or by replying to a message from a potential Employer, you agree to the disclosure of your information to that Employer.

Where do we get the data from?

  1. You – from our conversations, emails and other communications.
  2. Publicly accessible sources – websites, companies house, social media and research.
  3. References – from your previous activities, such as employment.

Who do we share the data with?

In order to provide our services, we may share some data with our staff and other people in other companies, such as consultants and suppliers. However, we obviously value confidentiality and all standard or sensitive information will only be shared with your expressed authority, unless we are legally obliged to disclose it.

Where do we keep the data?

We mainly keep our data on our servers, which are located in our offices and in digital form on our office devices. We have strict permissions on who has access to this information on a tiered basis on the levels of confidentiality. Data is also kept within data centres managed by our cloud service providers. Hosted email data is stored within the EU. Cloud providers for other services may hold back-up data outside the EU.Do you want to enquire or complain about us?
