Last year we had the privilege of creating a garden at Jersey College for Girls to commemorate Harry Zambon and his enduring legacy to support others.
With guidance from Harry’s Mum and aid from other local businesses (Andrew Le Maistre, PPS and FOIW), we were able to transform a neglected area of the school grounds into a peaceful green space for students. The space can be used by multiple groups with a meandering footpath connecting two seating areas and a feature wall whose sculptural form provides shelter and enclosure.
The planting has been designed with a palette of whites and purples. From the day of install the space became a draw for pollinators. The garden connects students with nature and offers a tranquil space for reflection amid the hubbub of busy school life.
